The aim of this project was to develop a website for Voyager Fine Wines that appeals to its target audience, which is predominantly females aged between 21 and 40 years. For this website, it was crucial to maintain consistency in design and content, while keeping it accessible for the users. The end result achieved all the requirements of the audience, with consistent design elements across every page, beautiful imagery, and detailed descriptions of their handcrafted wines. To achieve these results, the design principles of contrast, emphasis, balance, scale, and harmony were employed. Through the use of these principles, the company's message was effectively communicated, and its brand identity was reinforced.
Looking back, I now realize the importance of accessibility in web design and I would love to improve the visual appeal and effectiveness of my design by incorporating accessibility features."
Voyager Fine Wines aims to provide an opportunity for everyone to explore and educate themselves about the wonderful flavors of wine, and share their knowledge and flavors with others, irrespective of the occasion.
I incorporated some unique aspects in my web design by creating mockup bottles myself and leaving a special message for my fiancé in the text. The wine bottles are labeled as "California PK 2019" to represent the location and year when we started dating.
